Mr. Duncan

Bobby Duncan's father, he is a surly man of short stature. He is a scrap metal dealer. He is sensitive about being short and his profession. His indignance causes Willie to become angry, calling him "shorty," and then throwing him out of the house, crashing into the garbage cans. When word gets out of what Willie did, Trevor and Raquel come to see him. Willie tries to explain that he is not a violent person, but the Ochmoneks praise Willie for his actions, as Mr. Duncan was considered the neighborhood lowlife.

Willie invites him back to apologize, thinking he got off on the wrong foot. Rather than being angry, Mr. Duncan comes to have some respect for Willie and says that fighting and violence are good qualities. He ends up insulting Kate, to which she ends up throwing him out herself.
