Take a Look at Me Now

Plot Summary[]

Teaser[]

ALF and Brian are in the backyard picking avocados off their tree. Brian is called into the house for dinner, and then Raquel and ALF see each other. They both run away screaming.

Act One[]

ALF runs into the house and hides in the coat closet. When the doorbell rings ALF says that would explain why he's been screaming. The Ochmoneks run in and Raquel says she saw a monster in their backyard. While outside Raquel notices that bites have been taken out of some avocados and that the bite pattern is not human. Kate tries to convince Raquel that it may have been a dog, but this one talked to her and knew her name. Raquel then suspects it was a creature from outer space and they should contact the Alien Task Force. Willie convinces her not to because last time she called, they didn't believe her. She then goes to warn their neighbors, the Litwaks. Back in the house, the kitchen, Willie sends Brian out to keep an eye on Raquel, and see what she's doing. He finds that she's been drawing a crowd.

ALF and Willie are in the garage. Willie is repairing something ALF broke and and ALF is upset about being stuck in the house. Brian brings in a wanted flyer Raquel made and placed on all the telephone poles. ALF things the picture Raquel drew is awful. Trevor comes in and ALF hides. Trevor says that Raquel made a sculpture of ALF out of mashed potatoes, and Raquel comes in to say she's been asked by Lenny Scott to be on his TV show.

Act Two[]

The family is watching Lenny Scott's show and Raquel is brought on. She brings in the mashed potato sculpture of ALF and mentions it's what she saw, and that it's model of the space creature she saw. She says that it greeted her in English. Lenny mercilessly insults her and says she's a cuckoo. ALF goes into the kitchen and calls into the show to tell Lenny that aliens are real and have visited Earth many times, then insults Lenny so much that he hangs up on him. ALF is then voted "cuckoo of the week" (again) That night, Lynn is getting ready for a date with her new boyfriend Lizard who's taking her out to a movie, about a guy being shrunk and then injected into someone else, Willie then mentions Raquel is just depressed and just sitting silently in front of the TV and Trevor has gone for a long walk to seacrh through his feelings. ALF connects the Tanners' video camera to the cable input box outside of the Ochmonek's house so he can talk to Mrs. Ochmonek through her TV. He tells Mrs. Ochmonek that he indeed exists, but tells her that no one can and should not believe her. He also asks her to leave couple of pumpkin pies on her back porch twice and never question why they disappear Because of this, Mrs. Ochmonek is relieved of depression and thanks him. Kate and Willie who saw what he did, tell ALF he did a great thing

Epilogue[]

That night Kate and Willie are in the living room playing gin rummy, Trevor comes over asks the Tanners if they happened to notice anyone taking the pumpkin pies from their porch. Trevor says that Raquel told him the spaceman called her on the TV and that she's happy again.
